MATERIALS CHEMISTRY LABORATORY

The Materials Chemistry Laboratory of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, is a collegiate research area, in which
academics, assistants, undergraduate, master and PhD students are collaborating.
All of them developed terminal proyects, thesis and social service.

The laboratory is attached to Department of Basic Sciences, of the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering of
the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. It has academic interactions with the Chemistry and Materials departments of
Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. In addition to collaborating with the Chemistry Department of CINVESTAV-IPN,
The Chemistry Institute and the Faculty of Chemistry, both belonging to the UNAM.

Mission
Provide the infrastructure, materials and academic resources needed to train professionals at Degree,
Master and PhD levels. As well as contributing to development of science and technology in the Materials Chemistry area.

Lines of Investigation
Elaboration and characterization of solid materials to be used as catalysts in chemical reactions.
